Starry Night is an excellent
aid for exploring the heavens...a superb, well documented program that
will transform you into an expert in no time. "There are few experiences as invigorating as being out in the countryside standing under a canopy of star on a still night. Starry Night conveys that feeling better than any other desktop planetarium" --New York Times |

StarGazer January Is 'How To Use Your New Telescope' Month
This image shows some of the prominent objects in the January sky. We’ll take a look at three of them through a 100-power telescope-Jupiter, the Orion Nebula and the Pleiades. Jupiter will still appear quite small through the telescope, but its 4 main moons will be visible as small dots. The Orion Nebula is much larger and will cover most of the view. You will be able to see bright stars against a background nebula. The Pleiades cluster is even larger and won’t fit inside a telescope at 100 power. You will need either a lower-power eyepiece or a pair if binoculars to fit the whole cluster in!
