Starry Night This Week Mars and the Beehive and the Manger
On May 22 and 23rd, Mars can be found in the constellation of Cancer.
Through binoculars, the M44 star cluster (also known as the Beehive or Manger) will become apparent. Mars will far outshine any of the stars in the cluster itself, as well as nearby Asellus Australis, Cancer's 4th-magnitude central star. Still want to know more?
