The Two Inferior Planets Meet On The Summer Solstice, The First Day Of Summer

The two inferior planets, Mercury and Venus, get really close on June 21(Summer Solstice), less than a full moon's width in fact. This view shows the sky at 5:00 AM as seen from mid-northern latitudes.
