Celebrate 2003 With The New Year's Eve Star And The Two Largest Planets At Their Best

Around Midnight, Sirius, the brightest star in the sky reaches its highest point. Above it, are the two gas giants, Saturn and Jupiter. What a great way to welcome the new year! This view shows the sky on December 31st at around midnight as seen from mid-northern latitudes.
