Starry Night This Week The Seven Sisters And Halloween And The End Of The World
The Pleiades is the most famous of all open star clusters, containing around 500 members set against a black velvet sky. This young first magnitude open cluster is easily visible to the unaided eye and resembles a smaller version of the Big Dipper. This view shows the sky at 9:00 PM local time as seen from mid-northern latitudes. Still want to know more? You should follow us on Twitter, here. Click here for an archive of the past shows. |
