"There are few experiences as invigorating as being out in the countryside standing under a canopy of star on a still night. Starry Night conveys that feeling better than any other desktop planetarium"

A Special Sky For The 4th Of July

It's midnight on the evening of July 4, and Scorpius and Sagittarius dominate the southern sky. The star clusters M6 and M7 lie between the two bright constellations.

M6 and M7 are close enough together that you will be able to view both together using a set of binoculars. This image shows the field of view seen with a pair of 8 X 35 binoculars.

The heart of the Milky Way passes through Scorpius and Sagittarius.
