  • Starry Night has revolutionized my astronomy teaching and energized my students. It has given them a strong foundation in understanding how the universe works.
    - David H. Bradstreet, Ph.D., Eastern University
  • Starry Night is a beautifully constructed desktop planetarium that is easy to learn.
    - The New York Times.
  • The Starry Night series includes multimedia astronomy programs that have all been highly recommended in this system. There are separate editions designed for middle school and high school classes, a "Pro" edition for real enthusiasts, and accompanying curriculum materials. Considering the wealth of material included in each package, the appropriate edition from the Starry Night series would be a worthwhile purchase for a school.
    - NSTA Recommends
  • The more I used this program, the more I liked it. Of all the astronomy programs I've tried I consider Starry Night the most powerful, most elegant and most pleasing to use.
    -Jim Kendrick, SkyNews
  • Starry Night is a well-organized program that is easy to learn without the aid of any of the supplied manuals. The details and options that are included in Starry Night are absolutely phenomenal. Being able to view the night sky from anywhere in the universe (even the Sun!), changing the light pollution, and details such as the Mars probe put this program above all others. Starry Night allows you to travel throughout space in just a few seconds, seeing all of the stars, constellations, planets, and galaxies. If you weren¡¦t interested in astronomy before, you will be after you try this program.
    - Rory O'Connell, Grade 11, Crescent School, Toronto Ontario
  • Starry Night is a superb program. In its screen representation of the night sky, it is without peer. The seamless integration of photographs of Messier objects in computer generated star fields, and the realism of those star fields, is a work of genius. The speed and smoothness of its engine are incredible. Intuitive, and with wide-ranging tools and features, this program is the next best thing to actually going out and observing. I love it.

    - Boston Herald
  • 4.7 of 5 stars. [Highest rated] It manages to balance a staggering array of options with an easy, intuitive interface¡K Perhaps the most outstanding of this program's many fine features is its emphasis on realistic visual depiction through its well-implemented use of OpenGL graphics technology.
    - Smart Computing
  • Wow factor aside, Starry Night excels at practical, feet on the ground stuff. ¡K Altogether, this planetarium in a box is, well, stellar.
